A small selection of older features in WishList Member have been placed in a legacy status over the years. This means a handful of features no longer appear in the WishList Member settings and are instead listed in the Legacy section. The few items that have been set to the legacy status have been replaced with an improved method of handling the task.
More details are included below (including a Video Tutorial).
There is an option to enable legacy features if needed. This can be found in the Advanced Options > Legacy section in WishList Member.
Note: Using legacy features is not recommended as the latest methods are up to date and improved.
The following are Legacy features:
- Allow Legacy WishList Member Registration Shortcodes. If enabled, this will allow the use of the older non-WordPress standard shortcodes. It is recommended to leave this disabled. The current WishList Member shortcodes are recommended. The older style legacy Registration Shortcodes (Example: wlm_register_levelname) will continue to function if this setting is enabled.

- Allow Legacy WishList Member Private Tags Mergecodes. If enabled, this will allow the use of the older non-WordPress standard mergecodes. It is recommended to leave this disabled. The current WishList Member mergecodes are recommended. The older style legacy Private Tags (Example: wlm_private_levename) will continue to function if this setting is enabled.

- Enable Legacy WishList Member Integrations. If enabled, this will show a small selection of older versions of integrations in the Setup > Integrations section of WishList Member. It is recommended to leave this disabled. The current integrations with WishList Member are improved and recommended.

- Enable Legacy Features. If enabled, a small selection of older retired WishList Member features will be enabled in the plugin. It is recommended to leave this disabled as legacy features are not typically used and are not supported.
