WishList Member has been developed to work differently compared to some other systems. The WishList Member plugin works with many payment providers and each of those payment providers are unique.
We actually get behind the sale rather than in front of it. This means you can find a payment provider that fits your specific needs. So, the payment provider will process the actual payment which means they would also handle any potential taxes.
The payment provider handles the transaction and it communicates with WishList Member. This allows WishList Member to handle the member account, content protection, access, etc.
So, we typically recommend checking out our integration options and reaching out to one you want to use as they would be able to explain how they handle VAT.
