In this video, we're going to talk about the backup screen inside WishList Member. This is really aimed primarily at WishList Member settings. So if you want to back up your WishList Member settings, this is really what this is for. Although you'll see that you can include the members and the content on your site as well.

So if you want to add that to your backups, you can. But again, the primary purpose is the WishList Member settings. So levels, all of the individual sort of settings inside WishList Member. In order to create a backup, you just select what you want to back up. You hit create backup, hit yes on that screen. 

And that will create a new backup and you'll see that that backup now gets added down here. It'll show you the version and what it contains and so forth. And there's a couple of things that you can do in terms of the action. So when we go to talk about restore. Now we can restore that back to that particular one.

If you want to do that, you can download this backup file if you want to save it offline, or you can delete this backup. Okay. Again, when we get to restore, the first thing that you can do is you can restore from a backup, just like we talked about, so we can restore here. And that will take all of your settings back to that particular restore point.

Or you can restore from an external file. So then a file that you may have downloaded from this area right here, now you can select that file here.  And then you can update and restore WishList Member. And if you want to run a backup before you import this, you can do that as well. So what that'll do is it'll create a new backup before you imported this file to go back to the one that you downloaded. 

So choose those settings and then just simply hit upload and restore WishList Member and it will restore it to that point. This tool is pretty straightforward and simple to use, but it allows you to create backup backups for your site, for your WishList Member settings, and then also be able to restore those easily.
