New Feature: Membership Based Menu Links

In today’s video, we’re going to take a look at a new feature in WishList Member that allows you to show your menu links based on Membership Level.

Coming up.

Hello, everyone, and welcome. And in today’s video, we’re going to be taking a look at a brand new feature. I really love this because it’s going to allow us to show different menus based on our Membership Level. So let me show you where it is and how you can set it up on your website.

So, first of all, for this to work, you want to make sure you have your Membership Level. So I’m going to come over here and click on Dashboard. So this will show me what Membership Level I have. So you can see here I have this free audio VIP and also Membership Level called Mak. So without the Membership Level, this feature does not work. So you need to make sure you have your Membership Level. And if you’re not sure how to add these, all you have to do is to come over here to “Setup” and then you want to click on this plus button on these levels.

So you click here and then you give this Membership Level a name and pretty much that’s how you set it up. So once you’ve done that, the next step now is to come over here to your pages. So at the moment, I have quite a few pages on this site. As you can see, there’s a lot of them. But in your case, you want to create your pages first before you can go and set these to your menus.

OK, so once you’ve created your pages, the next step now is to come over here to appear and then click on menus. So here on the menus, you need to create a menu first. So mine is called Main Menu and it has this home cooking landing page, Mak page log in and log out. So what you want to do now is to choose which page you want to add here. So at the moment I have all the pages that I need.

So to get this feature. Now it is very, very easy. All you have to do is to click on this dropdown. So as you can see here, it say it has this new entry here called WishList Member Protection. So there’s two ways you could do this. So first of all, when you click on this dropdown, you’re going to have this logged out users so you can have this menu link called Mak page show on logged out users, or you can set it to show for logged in users.

So you may be thinking, OK, what scenario would I need to use this? So this could be, say, for example, a dashboard, which is only for people that have a subscription. So that dashboard, of course, should not be on the website for people that are not logged in. But if they are logged in, they should be able to see the dashboard and that dashboard should show all that information that relates to that subscriber.

So that’s where you would use that. But what’s even more interesting is when you take a look here, there’s also logged in and a member of the selected levels or logged in and a nonmember of selected levels. Now, again, this is really, really cool because for the logged in and not a member, you can have a page which can promote other membership evel. And this can only be seen by people who are logged in and not a member of a specific group.

So again, over here on a logged in and a member of a selected level. So you can come over here and choose that. And then over here, when you click it, this is where now it shows you which membership levels you have. And remember, I did say that you need to set your membership levels first, and this is how they’re now showing up here. So I want to say, OK, you know what? For this Mak page, I want this to be for only logged in and member of VIP.

So once I select that and by the way, you can even add more Membership Level here. So now I’ve just added VIP and Mak. But if you want to delete that, you can just come over here and just delete that just like that. OK, so now we’re going to save the menu. So what happens now when you go to your website? This will only show for the logged in users who have that specific Membership Level. So as you can see, this is a great feature.

It is very, very powerful, especially like in my case, I have some templates that I sell on my website and I give it away to anyone that has bought the Divi course. So this is how this would work. And I’m really excited about this. And I’m sure you’re excited, too. So go ahead, try it out and see how this works for you. All right, guys, that’s all I have for you in today’s video.

Thank you very much for watching. I’ll see you in the next video. Take care.

"We’ve tried a couple of other membership tools that were part of packages that we’d invested in. But nothing can compare to WishList Member. I know that there’s a lot of cool stuff out there that people have been building over the years. But when it comes to customization, if you use WordPress, you can’t touch this. Obviously, I’m super biased, but we’ve made millions of dollars because of this product."

I have moved [WishList Member] into my top list of options for people. The new WishList Member packs a punch! And the price for WishList Member makes it a fantastic offer.

WishList Member integrates with the tools I use TODAY. And they’re so eager to integrate with tools that are coming out. It’s amazing how they do it actually. If I was going to be buying a membership plugin, today… for me, I would go with WishList Member.
